Long Island development presses forward

The Lighthouse Development Group and Reckson Associates have announced a partnership to develop the Long Island Lighthouse Project. It will be a commercial, retail, and residential area that will surround Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.
This will be a great boon to anybody in the area. They will have a state of the art public athletic complex that they can make use of, and there will be a great sports technology research center. The coliseum will be better able to support the fans of the New York Islanders and of the New York Dragons.
The project should begin in a couple years and is supposed to be completed by 2013.
