Marathon Rookie recommendations
In my previous two posts about Marathon Rookie.com, I went over the pros and cons of the website and the eBook. They complement each other fairly well; the eBook has some of the same content as what appears (for free) on the website, but the meat of the eBook is in the training program and in providing an easily printed resource. The website has live links to useful products, and a number of marathon and half marathon directories that could be very useful for somebody trying to find a local one.

Marathon Rookie eBook Review
Takeaway
Marathon Rookie.com is an eBook written by a non-runner who just completed his first marathon recently and is trying to help others complete their first one. Hyponatremia: Consumption of Too Much Water
In a previous workout tip about proper hydration, I mentioned that hyponatremia is a topic I would revisit later. Hyponatremia is something to be aware of but not something to be worried about. It is something that is all the rage in the media these days as something to warn people about, and yes, it can be dangerous. It is just such an easy thing to avoid that a little knowledge and a smattering of common sense can make it a non-issue.

Over the weekend I will be posting a pair of reviews; one will be about his website, and one will be about his eBook that he has for sale. I will let you know what I think about them and whether I think they are worth visiting or buying.
The links to my future articles are going to be included below, but please be aware that the pages that they point to will not actually be available until Saturday (for the website review) and Sunday (for the eBook review). In the meantime, you should go check out the website at www.marathonrookie.com and get some first impressions of your own. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them here or after either review once they have been posted.

That first run back after being sick…
At the end of September I had gotten fairly sick for a few days, but other than a bad cough I felt fine shortly thereafter. However, with a marathon coming up in the near future, and the cough only having gotten worse over the next few weeks following that, I had gotten desperate enough to visit a doctor. The drugs he had me take seemed to help, but then it got worse again, and now it seems to be mostly gone. This fog and rain just did not help me recover at all these past few weeks, though.
