Never Showboat in the Olympics
Lindsey Jacobellis blew it. She had an Olympic gold medal in hand with only two jumps left in the snowboard cross finals, and she decided to showboat. She came down on her heels and fell off the course.
I hate to say it, but she deserved what she got. Tanja Frieden of Switzerland deserved her gold medal (nice move at the gate against Dominique Maltais) after taking advantage of Lindsey’s need to show off.
