It seems silly that they would shut a gym down during exams; I'd think they would want to leave it open for folk to unwind and such. One of our athletic centres at the university is shut down for exams, and all those people are crowded into the other - smaller - facility all day long, in addition to the regulars. "Chaos" would be a good description, along with "sweaty", "hot", "smelly" and "annoying"! Ugh, I know that feeling.
