I think most of the training plans I looked at let you &quot;practice&quot; running tired to some degree and that seems less risky than purposefully trying to bonk.</description>

What this diet does is put you on a low carb diet during the week and then up the amount of carbs on the weekend.  The whole strategy comes down to carb depletion during a good part of the week to stress the body.  The carb loading puts some glycogen back in so that your body is not constantly stressed.

Her approach has that same undulating characteristic.</description>
