One player with 9 touchdowns does not mean you will win
Just because one player can score nine touchdowns in a single game does not mean that your team is going to win.
Kendric Smith of Hughes High School in Arkansas broke the state single-game touchdown record with 8 touchdowns in regulation and one in overtime. His team still lost by one point, though, after failing to make a two point conversion.
East Poinsett County got their first win by making the extra point in over time, which leaves Hughes High School still winless.
That’s a lot of scoring; 73 to 72 was the final score.
