Blaine,

I love this post! I totally do NOT believe in New Years resolutions. They are 95% failure every year! If people know they fail, why do they still do it? Stop making excuses and TAKE ACTION!

I agree with you - I think its more important to reflect on 2007 and see what you have learned, want to do better, etc (which I list questions about on my recent post). Resolutions set after Christmas are often based on correcting our over indulgences of the past few weeks!

You have some interesting points here Blaine. I'm from Australia so maybe my New Year's Resolutions have a better chance of sticking.

[...] You may be somebody using a locker for the first time in your life because of a new year’s resolution, or you may be there to get your winter workouts taken care of, or you may be a seasoned gym rat. Good locker room etiquette should still be practiced. Do not break the following rules, and both you and your neighbors will have a better locker room experience. [...]

I would rather set myself up for success than for failure, personally. I always assume that I will succeed when I undertake something, and I refuse to accept failure until there is absolutely no possibility of making something work.

Happy New Year.

I like resolutions, just 'cause you're expected to fail. Makes it all the much better when they succeed.
