Did this workout for the 2nd time this morning. Ugh...I hate the midwest in the summer time. The weather is just miserable.

Times were close together so I think that's good (3:47 and 3:43).

One thing I need to figure out is what type of fuel I need before one of these things. Today I had an apple and a bunch of water before hand. Didn't make any difference, but I suppose it wouldn't.

Not sure if I'll get one in next week, but I'm going to try and get it in.

This program is probably going to go into full effect next week (depends on what the maxes do to me next week!). I'll be starting out with one day dedicated to the 2 800 meter runs and 1 day that is reserved for steady state cardio.

Your plans sounds pretty solid. I would (personally) lean toward the 3/4 split plan.

I'm also a fan of the 'Fast Finish', so that the last 100 meters or so of the last fast interval, he'd pick up the pace until the end of the interval, then go into his recovery run/jog.

I think it interesting that he is a power lifter and is increasing his speed.
