That would explain why that guy was trying so hard to pass me during my final sprint to the finish line at the L.L. Bean... LOL

I have been beaten by just about all types of runners. I can handle many types, but it is the 12 year old sprinter or 80 year old runner that still makes me dig down a little deeper.

Not that I'm a runner; I like to walk; but it sounds like that kind of motivation could work the other way around too!

In fact, if I had thought about it, the one time I did try and do a little running (and my time was slower than when I just walk at my nice, even pace) it might have helped!

I'll just have to try it in the walking realm to get my speed up there I guess.....

I'm pretty new to blogging and already getting all kinds of cool ideas! Thanks!

Terry,

When I was in 7th grade and I was about to run my first road race (The Manchester Road Race in CT on Thanksgiving), my stepfather told me to find a nice {insert derogatory slang for female butt cheeks here} and to run behind there.

I have to admit that I have used that advice a few times over the ensuing years. Not too much or too recently, though, since I'm too competitive to be selective.

Does it count if you pace behind said "Girled" for motivation and pacing?

I've heard it as getting chicked as well, but only a few times. The majority of the time I have heard it as getting girled.

Either way, there are plenty of women that are faster than me.

I always heard it as getting "chicked" but maybe that's not politically correct. Never heard of getting geezered.
