This Week Last Year: Fusion and Time Off
This week last year was mostly centered around local news, but there were a few articles that were worth revisiting.
- Scott continued our themed articles by discussing common weight lifting injuries. This week two years ago I shared Scott’s recipe for roasted vegetables, a mainstay in my diet since then.
- I pointed out that your off season is a perfect time for home improvements and other manual labor that you do not really want to do the day before a big race.
- A news story that I felt was worth revisiting was about Thiago Olsen, a high school runner who created a fusion reactor in his basement. That is certainly a more ambitious project than any that I attempted when I was in high school. Or since, for that matter.
- This week two years ago, I discussed how to plan workouts around holidays. I also suggested that you weigh yourself daily so that you can track how your body is doing. Sharp fluctuations in weight generally mean that you are over training, getting sick, or both.
