Pistorius's story is one of great personal triumph. But the fact of the matter is that he runs 400m faster with prosthetics than he would were he able-bodied, and that's an unfair advantage.

Not really much different than why wheelchair athletes, the fastest of whom go much faster than the marathon WR, are not competing directly against able-bodies runners in major marathons.

The CAS ruling was based on a legal technicality, Oscar had great lawyers who managed to disprove the claims that the original IAAF research made. They never said he didn't get an advantage.
I suggest you read http://bit.ly/2OnKW4 for a great, unbiased analysis.

When making a decision, you can’t just look at current advantages (if any) that runners with prosthetics may have. If they are allowed to race now then what happens when technology advances. If they are allowed to race now will that decision change when they start winning races and setting records?
