17 to 1?!?!

The Red Sox are making up for Schilling and Arroyo’s loss last night. I just checked the box scores, and at the top of the 8th they are winning 17 to 1. That’s some major pain going on, right there. I almost feel sorry for Buddy Groom. David Well is doing all right, though, despite having to put in an appeal for a suspension on the same day he is set to pitch against the Yanks. Nothing like a bit of profanity and then practically spitting in an umpire’s face to get yourself thrown out of the game. In his defense, though, the practically spitting part came after the ejection two weeks ago.
