Shaun Alexander has signed a 1 year contract with the Seahawks

Shaun Alexander has finally come to an agreement with the Seattle Seahawks. He did not want to have the franchise tag, and has signed a 1 year contract that has the same money and length as the franchise tender, but which prohibits the Seahawks from re-franchising him next off-season. It also makes him an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.

You can expect to see him with either the long term deal that he wants next year, or playing for somebody else. Either way, I expect that he is going to have a good year this year, and that he’ll be putting up good numbers for the Seahawks and for fantasy owners.
