Terrell Owens did wind up reporting to training camp, but he immiediately pulled his groin after doing so.

During the morning practice, Owens walked to the medical tent before being carted off the field. Coach Andy Reid said he is day-to-day, and dismissed any suggestion that the injury might not be genuine.

“It’s a legitimate injury,” Reid said. “This guy would never do that. He’s not that type of guy; he would never go in that direction.”

The disgruntled All-Pro is still hoping the Eagles will redo his contract. Owens is just beginning the second year of a seven-year deal worth just under $49 million.

Reid said groin problems are a chronic condition for Owens.

I can easily imagine people saying that TO is just trying to hold out with having his pocketbook hit, but I tend to doubt that to be the case. Andy Reid stated that he thinks the injury is legit, and it is very easy to get hurt in the world of football, so I have no reason to doubt it. Especially if TO was preparing to not play for a season, maybe he has not properly been preparing himself. Not that I believe that; TO strikes me as the sort that is always at the top of his game (at least his football game, anyway…)
