The Chicago White Sox swept the world series last night, beating Houston 1-0.
That makes for 2 years in a row that a team with a long draught in the series came through to win. The White Sox seemed fairly dominant early in the season, but the second half of their regular season left a lot of people with doubts about whether they could carry through. Their post season performances, however, were right back to where they were early season when nobody could seem to beat them on a consistant basis.

My guess is that there are a lot of Chicago fans that are happy that the Sox won, but that would vastly have preferred to see the Cubs win. Maybe next year. At least they can’t blame the 1919 team for their losing seasons anymore.
