This Week Last Year: Cool technology, dumb coaches, a lot of women

This week last year was mostly about new technology to be found in the world of sports.

• There was some cool technology this week last year. Chainless Bicycles have brought quite a few readers to this site, but not many have gone back to read about FIFA’s new goal line technology or computers and cameras in swimming pools that watch for drowning swimmers.
• I sounded off about some coaches that let one of their football players die because they thought he was not macho enough.
• I noticed that more women than men run on sunny days in Portland, Maine.

I also wrote about boxing and RTSports, which I never did get back to review. I should do that one of these days. We are back at CBS Sports Line, which I like better, for our fantasy football needs.
