Map My Run has launched a beta service that finally has full integration of a training log with their mapping software. It also integrates an elevation map and captures more data about your runs than the original version of Map My Run. I have been using their site almost exclusively for mapping as they have had a better interface than the GMap Pedometer, and most of the changes that they have made improve on that interface.
I’ll have a full review after I have had a week or two to play with all of the new features. I highly recommend checking it out in the mean time, though.
Yea, I like this site alot. I just don’t need like 4 training logs though 🙂
Well, you can feel bad for me then, because I am testing a bunch of different training logs so that I can review them on the site. I’ve narrowed it down to the one that I like the most at this point, but I’m still double/triple entering my workouts for the time being.
Hey Blaine, thanks for the info on the map site. I find it is extremely helpful in tracking distance of my new found sport of ocean paddling. Hope alls well with the new house. I’ll be back from miami in 2 weeks and will run into you sometime this summer..pete
No problem, Pete. The house is treating us well; we’ll have been there for a year as of tomorrow! Other than a few things breaking (such as our back door when we were broken into and our faucet when my wife was cleaning a spaghetti pot) we haven’t had much trouble and it beats the hell out of living in an apartment.
Thanks for writing about our site. We’ve been working hard to keep improving it, and you’ll notice that the main site at http://www.mapmyrun.com as now switched to the new version. I’m looking forward to seeing your review.
BTW, we can also let you integrate some of the MapMyRun functionality into your site if you’re interested. Email me if you are.
