The Complete Running Network is still going strong in their new format, and today they have brought back one of their more popular (if formerly difficult to use) features: the Running Blog Race Calendar.
You sign up for an account, you make a blog post with a few special properties set that denote the date and time of a race or event, and you publish. Now your race or event will appear on the calendar, and you can even add widgets to your website that list upcoming races. It beats having to scour a few hundred RSS feeds in order to find when people are racing and how they did.
(Official Announcement – My Races)
Great idea. Would also work well for many other sports.
