Daron Rahlves takes the lead in the World Cup Series
Daron Rahlves took the lead in the World Cup Series with a downhill victory in Bormio.
“It just seems to get me pumped up,” he said of the venue. “It is a very technically demanding course. So many downhills are getting easier and slower with the turns but I like these high-speed, straight sections.”
Bode Miller did not have a particularly strong showing, coming in 9th place, but at least another American was able to step up to the plate. This is Rahlves 11th world cup victory.
