Johnny Damon has decided to wear pinstripes and has joined the New York Yankees. So far, the Red Sox have no idea who they are going to replace him with.

So much for trying to work things out with the Red Sox; apparently $40 million is not nearly enough to stay in town. I have a feeling that he was just trying to make his way to New York the entire time. The Red Sox have a lot of holes, but hopefully they can fill at least a few of them before the season starts again next Spring. I am sorry to see him go as he was a big part of the team’s offense, giving Ortiz and Manny somebody to bat in on a consistent basis. Hopefully they can find somebody with the same sort of bat, but who can also throw the ball in from center field.
