The Patriot’s Day 5 Miler (now on the day before Patriot’s Day, Sunday April 18, 2010) has 200 shirts and tickets to the Sea Dogs remaining, so if you want to save $5 and get the extra swag now is the time to pre-register. The race is only 12 days away.
This is a fun race that I ran in 2006 that goes through downtown Portland, Maine. I haven’t made it back since I’m usually in Massachusetts for the Boston Marathon on Patriot’s Day weekend every year, and I won’t make it this year either, but if you will be in the area it is well worth running.
It is Maine’s longest running race, although it was moved to Veteran’s Day in 2007 after getting canceled because of the Nor’Easter that flooded most of Southern Maine.
