There was a lot of news this week last year, most of which was good with some big announcements. I demonstrated how to do a dumbbell bench press in my animated series. The World Marathon Majors were announced, the first year of races having passed since then. And I was completely wrong about my prediction…
Last night had some random notes about site improvements and a couple news notes along with talk about races, Barry Bonds. I talked about two races this week last year. The first was the Dan Cardillo 5k, which many people have been reading over the last week or two while looking for this year’s results….
Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada, the authors of Game of Shadows, have been ordered by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey White to reveal who leaked Barry Bonds’ (and others) grand jury testimony to them. They have won the right to appeal that decision before going to jail to keep their source a secret. In his order,…
This week last year dealt mostly about steroids and baseball’s poster child, Barry Bonds. Rafael Palmeiro tested positive last year, proving Jose Conseco right. The Italian police busted up a steroid ring that was supplying steroids to US soldiers in Iraq. Barry Bonds had some fun with the media. First, he said that he was…
Bode Miller is at it again, this time calling out Barry Bonds and Lance Armstrong in a Rolling Stones interview.
Victor Conte and Greg Anderson got slaps on the wrist after their convictions in the Balco case.

Barry Bonds proved me wrong by playing his first game of the season last night in a 4-3 win by the Giants. He got a double at his first at bat, but was scarcely heard from the rest of the game. He left in the 8th inning. I have to admit; I was not expecting…
Yesterday, I wrote a piece about how Barry Bonds told MLB that he will be out for the rest of the season. Today, his doctor says, “While some swelling remains in the knee, it is minimal and not unusual for this level of activity.” So, while Barry seems to have given up on the season,…
Barry Bonds has just stated that he will not be playing at all this year. I can not say that I am overly surprised; he has no moxie. Although the Giants say they have been in routine contact with Bonds’ medical and training team, his latest comments caught the team by surprise. General manager Brian…
