A couple of months ago, I wrote about how Fryeburg Academy was not going to cancel their sports programs after the gymnasium burned down. Well, the man accused of setting the fire was arrested on Friday.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested on an arson charge stemming from a fire that destroyed Fryeburg Academy’s gymnasium this fall. Philip Thibault of Fryeburg, a graduate of the southern Maine school, was arrested Friday in Flint, Mich. He was being held in Flint awaiting extradition to Maine.

This is not really sports related anymore, but I thought I would follow up on the previous story because it is something that is fairly local and a former teammate of mine went to school there once upon a time.
