  1. Stand with your legs about shoulder width apart.
  2. Grasp a dumbbell in each hand with your arms hanging straight by your waist and your palms facing inward.
  3. Keep your back straight at all times; you should only be moving your shoulders.
  4. Shrug your shoulders by lifting them as high as you can; if you are flexible enough touch your ears with your shoulders.
  5. Pause at the highest point for a moment.
  6. Slowly drop your shoulders back to the starting position.
