This Week Last Year: Race Results, Marathons, and a Book Review

It is now time to highlight what I wrote about at this time last year.

• The Literacy 5k race results, a race that I happened to win.
• My first impressions of the Marathon Guide website, and a list of my Fall marathon candidates.
• A book review of Marathoning for Mortals, which is about how to train for and run your first marathon.
• My discovery of the The 50 States Marathon Club and how you can join after running in only 10 states. At the time, I had run in 5 states, but I am now up to 7 states with an eigth state coming up this Autumn.

I guess that marathons were on my mind last year as I tried to decide which ones I wanted to run. Other than a really hot 5k that I ran, it was certainly the week’s dominant theme.
