Kenny Rogers of the Texas Rangers was reinstated after an arbitration determined that his suspension should just be for time served. Rogers had attacked some camera men at the end of June.

The Rangers played the Red Sox last night for the last of a 3 game series. The Rangers were hoping that Rogers would be able to save them from being swept, but he was pulled after 5 innings due to his relative incompetance. He allowed 5 runs while the sold-out crowd booed him at every chance, and after taking a line line drive off of his forearm in the first inning. Boston scored another 11 runs after Rogers was pulled out. The win goes to Bronson Arroyo, who allowed 4 runs in 7 1/3 innings.
